Description

Quick to make, and easy to customize, your new favourite, decadent date balls are packed with nutritious ingredients that allow you to have a treat and keep your energy up all day. No sugar crashes with this one!!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of Instant Oats
  • 1 1/2 cups of Pitted Dates
  • 1/4 cup of Shredded Coconut
  • 1/4 cup of Chia seeds
  • 1/4 cup of Raw Cacao Powder
  • 1/4 cup of Coconut Oil, melted
  • 1/2 tsp of Vanilla extract, (optional)
  • 1/4 cup of Chocolate chips

Equipment

Instructions

  • Put all the ingredients (except the chocolate chips) in a food processor and pulse until well blended.
  • Remove the mixture from the processor and place in a mixing bowl.  Add the chocolate chips and mix together.
  • Scoop out 1 heaped teaspoon at a time and roll into balls. If the balls are sticky put some oil on your hands first.
  • The energy bites can be consumed as is, or they can be rolled into one of the optional toppings. Store in an airtight container.
